If açaí bowls are your thing, then this Blue Majik smoothie bowl will be right up your alley. The star of the show is blue spirulina - this powder adds the most otherworldly colour to this smoothie. You only need the tiniest bit of blue spirulina to turn this bowl blue, and the more you add, the deeper the colour. Colour aside, this bowl is creamy, thick and so delicious. Perfect for a summer’s day. Throw your favourite granola and fruit on top and you’ve got yourself a meal.

INGREDIENTS
2 frozen bananas, defrosted for 30 minutes
1 cup frozen mango, defrosted for 30 minutes
1 serve of vanilla plant-based protein (my favourite is Botanika Blends)
3/4 tsp of blue spirulina powder
Dash of plant-based milk (my favourite is oat)
Granola, fresh fruit, nut butter, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, or whatever toppings you fancy, to serve
METHOD
Add all of the ingredients besides your chosen toppings to a food processor. Add just the tiniest amount of milk to help it combine - too much and it will become a full smoothie.
2 frozen bananas, defrosted for 30 minutes
1 cup frozen mango, defrosted for 30 minutes
1 serve of vanilla plant-based protein
3/4 teaspoon of blue spirulina powder
Dash of plant-based milk
Pulse the food processor for 10 seconds. Use a spoon to scrape down the sides so that everything mixes evenly. Pulse again until smooth. It's important not to overmix the smoothie so that it stays thick and creamy.
Serve immediately with your chosen toppings. Enjoy!
